Peppermint is a useful herb to mix with less tasty teas. It combines well with meadowsweet for digestive upsets, and with elderflower and yarrow for respiratory catarrh.
Directions for Use
One to two teaspoons to one cup of boiling water. Brew for 10 minutes, strain and drink up to four times daily.
Precautions
Seek advice if suffering from gallstones. Avoid in obstructive gallbladder disease.
Notes on the Herb
Peppermint is well known for its digestive properties; it can help to relieve wind, bloating, colic, IBS related symptoms and headaches associated with digestive problems.
